What's new in Styku Studio V5
Styku is proud to announce the launch of V5 Studio, our most significant software update to date. This release is designed to streamline your business operations, provide deeper insights during client consultations, and deliver industry-leading data security. This guide covers the new features, the rollout schedule, and answers to frequently asked questions regarding the transition.
What is V5 Studio?
The V5 update focuses on three primary goals to help your business grow:

1. Workflow & Accuracy

Flexible Login Options (QR & Email): We have two new options for profile creation:

App Users: Clients can create their profile and log in instantly by scanning a QR code via the Styku mobile app.

Non-App Users: Clients can select "Continue with Email" directly on the kiosk to create their account or log in. The system sends a one-time verification code to their email, allowing them to create a profile or log in without the app.

Scan Checkpoint: A new pre-scan step educates users to confirm they are wearing the correct attire, ensuring consistent and reliable results.

Smart Area Detection: Using augmented reality, the software visually alerts staff if an object is within 14 inches of the turntable, allowing you to troubleshoot scan issues immediately before they happen.

Cloud Sync Status: A new indicator on the dashboard confirms if scans are still processing or syncing, ensuring staff know exactly when it is safe to shut down the system for the day.
2. Consultations & Insights

Redesigned Dashboard: A new summary screen centralizes key metrics, progress charts, and cross-section overlays, allowing for faster and more impactful consultations.

Autoload Scans: As soon as a new scan completes, the system immediately displays a before-and-after comparison with the previous scan—no manual loading required.

New Health Metrics: We have introduced deeper insights, including Visceral Fat Area and Appendicular Lean Mass, complete with tags indicating potential chronic disease risks.

Dedicated Posture Module: This new module analyzes hip and shoulder shifts to provide information on injury risk and pain based on malalignment.

Nutrition Calculator: Now supports specific diets (Keto, Atkins, Paleo, etc.) with macro breakdowns.

Muscle Gain Calculator: A specialized tool for clients aiming to increase mass.

New Aesthetics Goals: Select a sculpting modality to display anticipated net inches lost from specific body areas.
3. Privacy & Security

Security PIN: Staff can set a PIN requirement to open profiles, preventing unauthorized viewing of sensitive client data on the gym floor.

Secure User Association (Passwordless): Whether using QR code or Email login, every scan is securely linked to a verified user profile.

For email users, we utilize a One-Time Verification Code sent to their inbox. This eliminates the security risk of clients creating weak passwords or sharing accounts.

Rollout Schedule
- When will I get the V5 update? The rollout is scheduled to begin in December. To ensure stability, we are releasing the update in batches over a 30-day period, starting with customers in the continental USA.
- Is this update mandatory? Yes. To ensure all Styku units remain secure and compatible with our latest cloud infrastructure, all accounts will eventually be transitioned to V5 automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Changes to Interface & Modules
- Where is the "Health" tab? The Health module is no longer visible as a separate tab. The information previously found there (along with new metrics like Visceral Fat Area) has been integrated directly into the Fitness and Aesthetics modules and the new Dashboard for a more seamless flow. Note: A significantly more in-depth Health module is currently in development for a future release.
- Is there training available for the new features? Yes! A specific V5 course covering the new software and metrics is available now in the Styku Business Portal.
- Are "Labs" being sold to clients through the app? Not at this time. If users see an option for Labs, it currently leads to a "Sign up for updates" page. Active lab sales are not yet live.
Client Experience
- Can clients be scanned without a mobile device? Clients must interact with the mobile ecosystem to create an account and verify their login (via QR code or email). If a client does not have a mobile device present, they must at least have email access to verify their login credentials.
- Can we opt-out of the "Book Body Scan" feature? No, this feature is standard in the new app ecosystem. However, please note that the "Book a Scan" option is tucked behind a "+" button in the app and is not intrusive on the main dashboard.
- Can we suppress emails sent to clients? The system sends transactional emails that are essential to the user experience and cannot be suppressed. These are not third-party marketing emails. They include:

Scan Summary: Sent immediately after a scan.

App Invite: Invitation to download the app.

Re-scan Reminder: Sent approximately 4 weeks after the last scan to encourage retention.
