Can clients track nutrition or food intake in the Styku mobile app?

Can clients track nutrition or food intake in the Styku mobile app?

Short Answer

No. The Styku mobile app does not include nutrition logging, meal tracking, or food-intake features. Styku is a 3D body scanning and body composition platform, not a nutrition tracker.

What the Styku mobile app does not include

  • Food logging or meal tracking
  • Macronutrient tracking
  • Calorie counting from food intake
  • Integrations with nutrition apps (e.g., MyFitnessPal, Cronometer)

What Styku does provide on the nutrition / metabolic side

These are practitioner-side features in Styku Studio V5 (desktop), not in the mobile app. The resulting values are saved to the client's scan and can be shared with the client via the Scan Report.

  • Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) — calories the body burns at rest, calculated from the scan using the Harris-Benedict equation. See What is BMR in the Styku scan report and how is it calculated?.
  • Total Caloric Expenditure (TCE) — total daily calorie burn, factoring in activity level.
  • Caloric Goal — recommended daily calorie intake to reach a fat-loss goal by a target date. See How do I read the Caloric Goal section of the Styku client summary report?.
  • Calorie Calculator with popular-diet options — in the Studio V5 Fitness Tab, the caloric-intake and caloric-deficit tools include presets based on popular diets, so practitioners can model daily intake against a chosen dietary approach when working with the client.

How to share these numbers with the client

The Caloric Goal and related pages can be included in the Full Scan Report that is emailed to the client. The practitioner chooses which pages appear in the Scan Report either at the time of sharing or via a global setting in Studio → Settings → Reports and Sharing → Advanced → Scan Report Pages. See Can I choose what scan/progress report pages are sent to a client after a scan?.

Recommended workflow

Use Styku's caloric guidance as the target, and pair it with a dedicated nutrition-tracking app of the client's choice for day-to-day food logging. Styku provides the body composition baseline and the calorie target; the nutrition app handles the daily tracking.

If you need a feature request considered (for example, adding nutrition tracking to the Styku mobile app), submit it through the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal.

Applies to: All Styku configurations using Styku Studio V5 and the Styku mobile app.
