How do I read the Caloric Goal section of the Styku client summary report?

Overview

When a Fat Loss goal is created with a client in the Styku Fitness tab, that goal is saved and displayed in the client summary report. This section gives practitioners and clients a concrete starting point for nutrition and exercise conversations.

Details

The Caloric Goal section includes the following fields:

  1. BMR — Calories burned at rest. See the related BMR article for details.

  2. Total Caloric Expenditure — Total daily calories burned, factoring in activity level. See the related TCE article for details.

  3. Caloric Deficit — The number of calories the client needs to reduce from their daily intake to reach their fat loss goal by the goal date.

  4. Goal Date — Automatically calculated based on:

    • The amount of fat loss the client aims to achieve
    • The number of workouts per week selected in the Fat Loss calculator
  5. Recommended Daily Calorie Intake — The general number of calories (from food and drinks) the client should consume daily to meet their fat loss goal by the goal date. This is calculated from:

    • Fat loss goal amount
    • Workouts per week
    • Goal date
  6. Personalized Calorie Intake (optional) — The recommended daily calorie intake can be manually adjusted (increased or decreased) to suit the individual client's needs.

Notes

  • This section provides a general starting point, not a clinical prescription. Practitioners should use these numbers to open a broader conversation about exercise and nutrition.
  • Fat loss is not solely determined by calories in versus calories out. A nutritionally balanced diet combined with regular physical activity is essential for sustainable results.
  • Macronutrient balance (carbohydrates, fats, and protein) also plays an important role alongside total caloric intake.
  • Goals do not appear in the client's Styku mobile app view. To share a goal with a client, include the goal pages in the Full Scan Report and email the report to them. See the related articles below.

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact support and include: client scan date, goal settings used, software version, and a screenshot of the report.

Applies to: All Styku configurations with the Fitness/Fat Loss goal feature enabled.
