How to set up and operate the Styku scanner in your facility

How to set up and operate the Styku scanner in your facility

Space Requirements

The Styku scanner has a total footprint of 6 ft × 4.3 ft (185 cm × 131 cm). It does not require:

  • Construction or room modifications
  • Special build-outs or dedicated rooms
  • A licensed installer

It is designed to fit into existing rooms including treatment rooms, office spaces, studio floors, and multi-use environments.

Setup Time

The modular components assemble in under 5 minutes. The system can be repositioned or relocated without tools or professional help — useful for businesses that adjust layouts, share spaces, or host off-site events. An optional travel kit is available for transport.

Power Requirements

  • 110–240 V (scanner tower and rotating platform)
  • Standard commercial outlet — no special electrical work required

Workflow Options

Staff-Guided

Staff administer the scan during a consultation. On-screen prompts guide them through the process. No clinical training is required to operate the scanner or explain results.

Self-Serve Kiosk

The scanner can be configured for autonomous use. Clients follow on-screen prompts independently, with reports delivered directly via email and the Styku mobile app.

During a Scan

  1. Client steps onto the rotating platform and stands naturally.
  2. The platform rotates once (~35 seconds).
  3. The sensor tower captures the full body using Active Stereo Infrared technology.
  4. Results process locally in under 2 minutes.
  5. Reports are sent automatically via email and the mobile app.

Reviewing Results with Clients

The included touchscreen PC allows staff or clients to:

  • View and rotate the 3D body model
  • Highlight specific measurement areas in real time
  • Navigate through the report during a consultation

Internet Dependency

Processing is done locally on the included PC. Scan completion time is not affected by internet speed or Wi-Fi connectivity, which ensures consistent performance during peak hours.
