Onboarding - Getting Connected
This article explains how to set up your Styku computer, and get connected with the Styku platform tools.
Step 1 : Activate your computer
Follow instructions on the computer you were given by Styku to activate it.
For MacOS: skip the step for "sign in to iCloud". Use your Styku-provided e-mail address to activate your computer, and for all accounts.
For Windows 10: Skip the step to connect to a WiFi account during the setup process. When asked to create a Microsoft account, fill out the form and press Next. An error will appear, with a Skip option. Choose the Skip option.
Step 2 : Sign up for these tools
Create accounts and get connected to the following tools:
Google GSuite - Styku Admin has created an address using the format of [first name].[last name]@styku.com, and sent a temporary password to your personal email address. Log in to mail.google.com and change your password. This gives you access to Gmail, Google Drive and the full suite of Google products including Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drawings, Keep, etc. If you need to open a Microsoft Office document, upload it to Drive, and open using Google's products.
Slack - Internal communication between Styku representatives.
Zoom - Video / Audio conference calls for Styku meetings and meetings with customers.
Hubspot - CRM and Ticketing system.
Stripe - Stripe is an online payment processing platform that allows us to handle transactions, manage subscriptions, and perform other financial tasks online.
Step 3 : Download and activate software
Download these apps to your computer:
Google Chrome - set Chrome to be your default browser after installing and logging in using your Styku account.
Slack - log in to Slack using your Styku account to join the workspace. The workspace name is styku.slack.com
Zoom - log in to Zoom using your Styku account.
