Why is BMI or a body measurement missing from the scan report sent to my client?

Why is BMI or a body measurement missing from the scan report sent to my client?

BMI and health risk metrics (WHR, WHtR, TLVR, and the Health Risks Summary) are calculated by Styku and visible in Studio — but they only appear in the emailed scan report if the relevant report pages are turned on. After a software update, these pages sometimes default to off. A quick check of your Report Settings will usually resolve this in under two minutes.

Most common cause: Health Risk pages toggled off

  1. Open Styku Studio and tap View Profiles, then enter your PIN.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Reports and Sharing.
  4. Tap Advanced and log in with your administrator account.
  5. Open Scan Report Pages.
  6. Look for pages related to Health Risk, BMI, Disease Risk, or similar. Toggle them on if they are off.
  7. Send a new test report to verify the metrics now appear.

Changes take effect immediately for all subsequent reports.

Note: There are separate settings for Scan Report Pages (single-scan reports) and Progress Report Pages (multi-scan comparison reports). Make sure you are editing the correct one for the report type you send.

Other reasons a metric may not appear

Situation | What to check

Just updated to V5 | Report pages sometimes reset to defaults after an update. Follow the steps above to re-enable them.

Health risk metrics missing for all clients | The Health Screen extension (which includes BMI, WHR, WHtR, TLVR, and the Health Risks Summary) may not be enabled on your license. Contact Styku support via the Business Portal at styku.com/portal if you believe this is the case.

Metric missing for one client only | The client may have an incomplete profile. Height, weight, sex, and birthday are required for all health risk calculations. Check the client's profile and fill in any missing fields, then rescan.

What's in the scan report by default

A standard Styku scan report includes:

  • Page 1: 3D body images and Health Risks Summary
  • Page 2: Body composition data (body fat %, lean mass, bone mass, weight)
  • Page 3: Circumferences and measurements
  • Additional pages: Disease risk, caloric goals, inch-loss goals (if enabled)

BMI appears as part of the Health Risks Summary on Page 1 and in the anthropometric metrics section.

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact Styku support through the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal and include: your Styku Studio software version, a description of which metrics are missing, and whether the issue affects all clients or only specific profiles.

Applies to: All Styku configurations, Styku Studio V5
