Why does the data sync progress counter reset or go above 100% during the Styku Studio V5 update?

The sync progress counter resetting or exceeding 100% during the Styku Studio V5 update is normal. The software syncs files in multiple batches, and the counter resets as each batch completes. Your data is not lost, and the sync is working correctly as long as it finishes without an error message.

Why This Happens

Styku Studio V5 syncs your scan data to Styku's servers in stages. Each stage processes a separate group of files, and the progress counter starts over for each one. If you have a large number of files to sync — for example, over 10,000 — you may see the counter reset several times before the full sync is complete. This is expected and does not indicate a problem.

How to Confirm the Sync Completed Successfully

  1. Wait for the sync process to finish. Do not close Styku Studio while syncing is in progress.
  2. Watch for a completion message or for the sync indicator to stop running.
  3. If the sync finishes without displaying an error message, all your data has been uploaded successfully.

When to Be Concerned

The counter resetting is not a problem on its own. Contact support if you see any of the following:

  • An explicit error message during or after the sync
  • The sync appears to run indefinitely without ever completing
  • Scan records are missing after the sync finishes

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact support and include: a description of what the sync counter is doing, approximately how many files are listed as pending, any error messages displayed on screen, and your Styku Studio version number (found in the app settings).
