Where did the health risk metrics go in Styku Studio V5?
The health risk metrics in Styku Studio V5 have not been removed. Cardiovascular, cancer, and obesity-related disease risk data are still available, but their location in the app has changed with the V5 update. If you relied on these metrics in previous versions, you will need to look for them in their new location.
What changed in V5
The previous version of Styku Studio displayed health risk metrics prominently on the main results screen after a scan. In V5, the interface has been reorganized. Health metrics are still calculated and available, but they are now found in a different section of the app.
How to find your health risk metrics in V5
- Complete a scan as normal, or open an existing client's scan record.
- On the results screen, look for the Health or Health Risks section in the navigation panel.
- Select it to view cardiovascular, cancer, and obesity-related disease risk metrics for that client.
About the waist risk indicator and goal slider
In previous versions, a visual slider showed clients exactly how many inches they needed to reduce their waist to move from a high risk to low risk category. In V5, this interactive slider is no longer displayed in the same format.
You can still access waist measurement data and risk classification in V5. To communicate a waist reduction goal to a client:
- Find the client's current waist measurement in their scan results.
- Reference standard low-risk waist thresholds: under 35 inches for women and under 40 inches for men. Exceeding these thresholds is associated with a heightened likelihood of developing various preventable diseases.
- Calculate and communicate the target measurement directly.
When communicating risk to clients, consider translating relative risk figures into plain language. For example, a client with a 1.7x risk of Cardiovascular Disease has a 70% increased risk compared to baseline — framing it this way makes the data more actionable during consultations.
Note that waist circumference is one of several clinically validated indicators of obesity-related disease risk. Waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratio, and body fat percentage are all recognized indicators and should be used in combination when educating clients about their health status.
If the goal-based visual indicator is important to your workflow, we encourage you to submit a feature request so the Styku product team is aware of the demand.
