What scan data and metrics are available in Styku Studio vs. the mobile app?
Styku Studio and the Styku mobile app are designed for different audiences and show different information. Studio is the full practitioner platform; the mobile app is the client-facing viewer. Some metrics — including calorie and metabolic data — are only available in Studio.
Styku Studio (Desktop App — Practitioner View)
Styku Studio is the full analysis platform installed on the scanner laptop. It shows all metrics available for the customer's subscription plan.
Available in all plans (Dashboard & Metrics module)
- Full 3D body model
- Key measurements: weight, height, body fat %, lean mass, BMI, waist circumference, and more
- Scan-to-scan comparison and progress tracking
- Measurement change charts
- PDF report generation
- CSV data export
Fitness & Weight Loss module (Elite and Enterprise plans)
- Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) — estimated daily calories burned at rest
- Estimated calorie needs — calculated targets based on body composition
- Fitness score and fitness age
- Body fat health risk range
- Metabolic syndrome risk markers
Posture & Alignment module (Elite and Enterprise plans)
- Posture analysis: anterior, posterior, and lateral views
- Spinal curvature assessment
- Alignment deviation measurements
Aesthetics & Sculpting module (Elite and Enterprise plans)
- Targeted measurement comparisons for aesthetic tracking (arms, legs, torso segments)
- Body shape and proportion analysis
Health Screen & Prevention module (Enterprise plan, or HealthPass partners)
- Disease risk estimates based on body composition
- Metabolic syndrome screening
- Chronic disease risk indicators
- Preventative health scan report
Styku Mobile App (Client View)
The Styku mobile app is the free, client-facing viewer available on iOS and Android. Clients download it to see their scan results after being scanned at a Styku facility.
Available in the mobile app
- Full 3D body model (interactive, rotatable)
- Key measurements: weight, body fat %, lean mass, BMI, waist, and common circumferences
- Progress tracking: scan-to-scan changes across all stored scans
- Scan history (all past scans from any Styku location)
- Body composition trend charts
NOT available in the mobile app
- BMR and calorie data — these are only shown in the Fitness & Weight Loss module in Studio
- Fitness score and fitness age — Studio only
- Posture analysis — Studio only
- Aesthetics module data — Studio only
- Health Screen / disease risk data — Studio only
- PDF report generation — Studio only (clients receive emailed PDF reports if the facility sends them)
- CSV export — Studio only
Key point: If a client asks "why can't I see my calorie data in the app?" — calorie and metabolic metrics are only accessible in Styku Studio. Clients cannot view them in the mobile app regardless of plan.
Premium Mobile App
The Premium upgrade to the Styku mobile app (available as an add-on or included with the Enterprise plan) adds additional features for clients, such as goal-setting and deeper progress analytics. It does not add the metabolic or calorie data from Studio's Fitness module.
