What is the Styku measurement validation feature, and how do I turn it off?

What is the Styku measurement validation feature, and how do I turn it off?

What it does

Measurement validation is turned on by default in Styku Studio. When the software detects a measurement that appears incorrect — for example, a neck measurement inflated by unbound hair, or a thigh measurement thrown off by baggy clothing — it highlights that measurement in a different color and marks it with an exclamation-point icon. A predicted (validated) value is substituted in place of the suspicious raw measurement.

This prevents a single bad measurement from skewing body composition calculations and downstream metrics.

How to turn it off

If you prefer to use raw measurements in all cases — for example, to review unfiltered scan data directly — you can disable the feature in administrator settings:

  1. Open Styku Studio and log in with your PIN code.
  2. Open the Settings menu.
  3. Select Measurements and Units.
  4. Click the Advanced button at the top of the window. You will be prompted to log in with your administrator account (email and password).
  5. Toggle the button next to Measurement Validation to the off position. The button turns grey when the feature is disabled.

Once disabled, Styku uses the raw measured value in all cases and will no longer flag or substitute suspicious measurements.

Applies to: Styku Studio V5, all scanner configurations.
