Viewing Licenses: How to Request, Install, and Activate Styku Studio on Additional Computers

A viewing license lets you install Styku Studio on any additional Windows computer so you can review client scans — without needing the scanner physically connected. Each computer requires its own unique viewing license key; per Styku's Software License Grant, a single key cannot be shared between devices. Disclosing license keys to third parties or using a single key across multiple devices constitutes a breach of the Styku software license agreement.

To get a viewing license key, submit a request to Styku through the Business Portal at styku.com/portal. Styku will then generate a unique key for each computer you need.

What a viewing license can and cannot do

Can do: View all existing client profiles and scan results on any compatible Windows computer
Cannot do: Perform new scans — scanning requires the primary scanner license, which remains on your scanner computer
One unique license key is required per computer; the key is tied to that specific machine once activated

Before installing, confirm each computer meets these minimum requirements:

How to request viewing license keys

Log in to the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal.
Submit a request through the portal, stating how many computers you need viewing licenses for (one key per computer).
Styku will generate and provide a unique viewing license key for each computer.

How to install and activate Styku Studio with a viewing license

On the additional Windows computer, download the latest Styku Studio software.
Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
Launch Styku Studio.
When prompted, log in using your existing Styku account credentials — the same email and password you use on your scanner computer. Do not create a new account.
When asked to activate the device under your Styku account, enter the viewing license key provided by Styku.
The software will activate in viewing-only mode. You can now access all client profiles and scan results from this computer.
Repeat this process on each additional computer, using a different unique key for each one.
