How does cloud sync work and when will clients see their results in the mobile app?

Overview

After a scan is accepted in Styku Studio, results are uploaded to the Styku cloud and then delivered to the client's mobile app and PDF report. Sync happens automatically in the background, but it requires the software to remain open until the process completes.

How to Confirm Sync Is Complete

  1. After accepting a scan (and optionally logging the client out), watch the Cloud Sync indicator at the top of the Styku Studio interface.
  2. While syncing, the indicator will show activity.
  3. When the indicator shows no activity, the upload is complete and the client's results are available in the mobile app.

Important: Do Not Close the Software Early

  • If you close the software or the laptop lid before sync finishes, the client's results may not appear in their mobile app.
  • On a good internet connection, scans typically sync and appear in the app within a few minutes.

What Clients Receive After Sync

  • Full scan results and measurements in the Styku mobile app
  • A PDF report of their scan

Notes

  • Clients must have the Styku mobile app downloaded and be logged in to their profile to receive results.
  • Encourage clients to download the app before their appointment.
  • If a client reports missing results, check whether the software was closed before sync completed and contact Styku support if results do not appear after 10–15 minutes.

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact support and include: the client's email/profile, the date and time of the scan, your facility's internet connection type, and whether the Cloud Sync indicator showed any activity before the software was closed.
