How do I view, adjust, and customize circumference measurements in Styku Studio?

How do I view, adjust, and customize circumference measurements in Styku Studio?

Overview

Styku Studio displays circumference measurements as lines on the 3D body model and lists them in the Body Metrics tab. Measurements are anchored to anatomical landmarks for consistency, but positions can be adjusted when needed, and custom measurements can be created.

Viewing Circumference Measurements

  • All circumference measurements appear as grey lines on the 3D body model.
  • Tap a grey line to highlight it in teal and display its numeric value.
  • Open the Body Metrics tab to see a full list of circumferences. Selecting a measurement in the list highlights its location on the body.

How Styku Ensures Measurement Consistency

Styku anchors each measurement to a specific anatomical landmark (for example, the belly button for abdominal waist, or the tip of the shoulder bone). This ensures measurements are taken at the same location on every scan, making results comparable over time as the body changes.

Adjusting a Measurement Position

Use this when a measurement appears to be placed incorrectly — for example, due to clothing interference.

  1. Turn off landmarks for the measurement you want to adjust.
  2. Select the measurement on the body model or in the Body Metrics tab.
  3. Tap the Edit button.
  4. Drag the measurement line to the correct position.

Creating Custom Measurements

Styku Studio includes tools in the sidebar to create additional measurements not included in the default set.

  • Custom circumference measurements: Draw a circumference at any location on the body.
  • Custom length measurements: Measure any distance on the body surface, similar to using a tape measure.

Select the appropriate tool from the sidebar and follow the on-screen prompts to place the measurement.

Notes

  • Adjusting or disabling landmarks changes the measurement position for that individual scan. Default landmark positions are not permanently altered.
  • Custom measurements are useful for clinical or specialized fitness assessments that require non-standard measurement sites.
  • For best consistency across sessions, avoid adjusting landmark-based measurements unless there is a clear reason (e.g., clothing distortion).

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact support and include: a screenshot of the affected measurement, the client's scan ID, and your software version.
