How do I get started with Styku V5 Studio for the first time?
Getting started with V5 Studio is straightforward, but we recommend a guided onboarding session with the Styku support team to walk through the new features and confirm everything is working correctly. V5 Studio introduces several significant changes to the scanning workflow and interface, so a short live session helps you get up and running with confidence.
V5 Studio was designed to make your day-to-day operations faster, your client consultations more insightful, and your data more secure.
In Studio V5, the client (the person being scanned) must log in to their scan profile prior to scanning — this is not the scanner administrator. Clients have two login options:
- QR Code: Client scans the QR code with their phone camera and follows the on-screen prompts.
- Email: Client selects the email login option, enters their email address, and verifies their identity with a one-time verification code sent to their inbox.
Note: Administrators can create client profiles before scanning by going to Settings → Customer Profiles and Scan Data → Create Profile (requires email, first name, last name, birthday, sex, and height). Alternatively, clients can create their accounts ahead of time by downloading the Styku mobile app. When they come in to scan, they can then log in directly using the QR code option — the fastest and easiest way to get started.

How to Get Set Up
- Make sure Styku Studio V5 is installed on your scanner laptop. If you are unsure which version you have, open the Styku Studio app and check the version number displayed in the software.
- Open Styku Studio and sign in to your administrator account using your PIN. To view profiles and access admin settings from the home screen, tap View Profile Only and enter your Admin PIN. If you need to update your admin account details — including email, password, and company information — go to Settings > Accounts and Privacy Controls, sign in to the current admin account, and select Administrator Account to make changes. Press Finish to save.
- Log in to the Styku Business Portal to find your license key and access training resources, including the V5 onboarding training course.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your first scan using the new V5 workflow (see the scanning steps below).
Basic Scanning Workflow in V5
Regardless of which login method the client uses, the core scan steps are the same:
- System checks the sensor and turntable.
- Client confirms proper scan attire (form-fitting clothing; long hair tied up).
- Client steps onto the turntable for weight capture. If weight is not detected, it can be entered manually.
- Client assumes the A-pose (arms slightly out to the side) and aligns until the pose frames turn green.
- Scan begins — client remains still while the turntable rotates.
- Scan processes and measurements are generated — client remains in scan attire.
- Client reviews the scan and selects Accept or Scan Again. Note: Scan Again deletes the scan and restarts the entire process. If predicted measurements are shown, a rescan is recommended unless the scan looks acceptable.
- Once accepted, the client may review results in the software or log out.
- Tap Select Scans in the bottom navigation to choose scans to load into analysis.
Customizing Reports
You can control which pages are included in scan and progress PDF reports sent to clients:
- Open the Styku app and choose View Profiles, then enter your PIN.
- Choose Settings.
- Select Reports and Sharing.
- Press Advanced and log in using your Styku administrator account.
- Inside Advanced settings, find Progress Report Pages and Scan Report Pages to add or remove pages from either report type. Note: changes apply to all reports sent from the software going forward.
Request a Live Onboarding Session

- Guide you through your first scan in V5
