How do I get set up and running with Styku after a software update or initial onboarding?
Getting fully set up with your Styku scanner — or getting back on track after a software update — is easiest with a live guided session from Styku support. In one session, a support representative can walk you through the software, run a demo scan, and make sure everything is working before you see your first client.
What a Live Onboarding or Post-Update Session Covers
A typical guided session includes:
- Training on Styku Studio (the scanning software on your laptop)
- Running a demo scan so you can see the full process end to end
- Accessing and navigating the Styku Business Portal
- Setting up your team — adding and removing team members
- Answering any questions specific to your setup
How to Request a Live Session
- Log in to the Styku Business Portal at styku.com.
- Navigate to the support section and complete the ticket form to submit a request.
- In your message, let us know you'd like a live guided onboarding or setup session.
- A Styku support representative will respond within one business day to schedule a time.

Before Your Session — Things to Have Ready
Having these ready will help make the most of your time with support:
- Your license key (printed on the user guide included in your shipment, and also available in the Styku Business Portal)
- Your scanner fully unboxed and connected (camera tower and turntable plugged into the laptop via USB, turntable power adapter plugged in)
- Your laptop powered on with Styku Studio open
- A reliable internet connection at your scanner location
Installing or Updating Styku Software
If you need to install or update Styku Studio before your session, note that the update process takes approximately 10–30 minutes on average, so plan accordingly. The key steps are:
- Disconnect your Styku turntable and sensor from the computer before beginning.
- Download the latest software from the Styku download link.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install and launch the app.
- When prompted to log in, use your existing email and password — do not choose "Create Account" if you already have a Styku account. If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password button to reset it.
- Complete the administrator setup process and press Finish.
Note on existing scan data: Updating to the latest software version will not delete your scans or customer profiles. Your previous data may be re-measured to use the latest measurements, but no data will be lost.
Getting Clients Ready to Scan
Administrators can create profiles before scanning by going to Settings → Customer Profiles and Scan Data → Create Profile (requires email, first name, last name, birthday, sex, and height). Alternatively, clients can create their own accounts by downloading the Styku mobile app and registering there. When they arrive for their scan, they can log in directly using the QR code option in Styku Studio — the fastest and easiest way to get started.
If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed. If the problem persists, contact support and include: your license key, the version of Styku Studio installed (visible in the app settings), and a brief description of where in the setup process you are getting stuck.
