How do I correct an incorrect biological sex on a client's scan profile?

Biological sex is used in Styku's body composition calculations, so an incorrect entry will affect your client's results and reports. Administrators can correct this field directly in Styku Studio, or clients can update it themselves through the Styku mobile app. Any PDF reports generated before the correction will need to be regenerated to reflect the updated information.

Option 1: Administrator corrects it in Styku Studio (recommended)

  1. Open Settings in Styku Studio.
  2. Select Customer Profiles and Scan Data.
  3. Log in as an administrator.
  4. Select Edit Profile.
  5. Search for and select the client's profile, then press Continue.
  6. Update the biological sex field to the correct value. There are two pages of information. When finished, press Continue. The profile is now updated.

Option 2: Client updates their own profile in the Styku mobile app

This is the fastest option and does not require contacting support.

  1. Ask your client to download the Styku mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, if they haven't already.
  2. Have them log in to their Styku account.
  3. In the app, they should navigate to their profile settings.
  4. Find the biological sex field and update it to the correct value.
  5. Save the change.

Once the client saves the change, the correction will take effect in the system.

Option 3: Contact Styku support

If you are unable to correct the profile using Option 1 or Option 2, Styku support can make the correction on the backend.

  1. Submit a support ticket through the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal.
  2. Include the following information in your request:
    • Client's full name
    • Client's date of birth
    • The correct biological sex to be recorded
  3. Support will confirm once the update has been made.

After the correction: regenerate any PDF reports

The fix does not automatically update previously generated reports.

  • After the profile is corrected, open the client's scan record in Styku Studio.
  • Regenerate any PDF reports you need. The corrected biological sex will be reflected in the new reports.

If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.

If the problem persists, contact support and include: the client's full name, date of birth, the incorrect biological sex currently recorded, the correct biological sex, and the date of any scans whose reports need to be regenerated.
