How do I connect the Styku X2L scanner to the laptop?
Overview
The Styku X2L scanning tower requires a SuperSpeed (USB 3.0) connection for full functionality. Using the wrong port may prevent the scanner from working correctly.
Steps
- Connect the USB cable from the scanning tower to the SS (SuperSpeed) port on the side of the laptop. This port is typically marked with the "SS" symbol or a blue connector.
- Connect the turntable USB cable to the other available USB port on the laptop.
Notes
- Using a standard USB 2.0 port for the scanning tower may result in poor scan quality or the scanner not being recognized.
- If your laptop does not have a free SS port, do not use a USB hub — contact Styku support for guidance.
- The Turntable USB Adapter (included in the box) may be needed depending on the available port type on your laptop.
If the problem persists, contact support and include: your laptop model, which ports you used, and any error messages shown in the Styku software.
