How do I choose the right location for my Styku X2L scanner?
Overview
The location you choose for your Styku X2L directly affects scan quality and system performance. Follow these guidelines before placing any equipment.
Space Requirements
- Minimum clear floor space: 67 × 46 in (169 × 116 cm)
- Wall clearance: At least 14 in (35.5 cm) away from walls on all sides
Conditions to Avoid
- Bright overhead lighting above the turntable — especially sunlight, halogen bulbs, and "natural" LED lights
- Reflective objects within the camera's field of view — including glossy posters, mirrors, and metal furniture
Notes
- Even indirect sunlight through windows can interfere with the scanner's depth camera. Consider blackout curtains if natural light cannot be avoided.
- These clearance requirements are minimums. More space is always better for client comfort and safe movement around the turntable.
