How do I access Settings in Styku Studio and change units or privacy options?

How do I access Settings in Styku Studio and change units or privacy options?

Settings in Styku Studio V5 are behind the admin PIN. From the home screen, tap View Profiles, enter your admin PIN, then tap Settings to reach the configuration menu.

How to open Settings

  1. From the Styku Studio home screen, tap View Profiles (or View Profile Only).
  2. Enter your admin PIN when prompted.
  3. Tap Settings in the top navigation.

What you can change in Settings

Setting area | What it controls

**Reports and Sharing** | Which pages appear in scan/progress reports; auto-send on/off

**Customer Profiles and Scan Data** | View and edit client profiles; admin login for profile edits

**Scanner Hardware** | Express Mode (after-scan UX); other hardware behavior

**Tools** | Weight scale calibration; troubleshooting tools

Note: The Tools menu is accessible from the main admin view (not a sub-page of Settings). From the admin view, tap Tools to access calibration and troubleshooting options.

Changing measurement units (metric vs imperial)

In Styku Studio V5, the unit system (metric vs imperial) is set per client profile, not as a global system setting. It is one of the required fields when creating a new client profile: email path → select imperial or metric.

To change the units for an existing client:

  1. Open Settings → Customer Profiles and Scan Data.
  2. Log in with your admin account.
  3. Select Edit Profile, load the client, and update the unit system.

Tip: If most of your clients use the same unit system, set it as a habit during profile creation rather than changing it afterward.

Changing the admin PIN

The admin PIN is set by the account admin during onboarding. To change it:

  1. Open Settings and navigate to the appropriate section for security/PIN settings.
  2. You will need your admin email and password to change the PIN.

For more detail, see [What is the admin PIN in Styku Studio and how does it protect client data?] and [How do I set, change, or reset my Styku Studio security PIN?].

If you can't find a setting

Some settings (report page selection, custom logo, measurement validation) require the Advanced login inside Reports and Sharing — you will need your Styku administrator email and password, separate from the admin PIN.

If you are unable to locate a specific setting, submit a support ticket through the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal and describe what you are trying to configure.

Applies to: Styku Studio V5, all Styku configurations
