How do I cancel my Styku order and get a refund?
If you need to cancel a Styku scanner order, contact support through the Styku Business Portal. All cancellation requests are reviewed by Styku management before processing. Once your cancellation is confirmed, your refund will be processed within 60 days, with an additional 5–10 business days for your bank to post the credit.
How to Submit a Cancellation Request
- Log in to the Styku Business Portal at styku.com/portal.
- Navigate to the Need Help? section and submit a support ticket.
- In your message, include:
- Your order number (found in your order confirmation email or in the Business Portal — for example, MDDRAL1K-0001 or #2814-5517)
- Your business name
- The reason for the cancellation (e.g., shipping delay, facility issue, change of plans)
- A clear statement that you are requesting a cancellation and refund
- A support team member will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and escalate it to management for approval.
- Once management confirms the cancellation, you will receive a written confirmation. Do not assume the cancellation is complete until you receive this confirmation in writing.
Note: Styku has no phone support line. All cancellation requests must go through the Business Portal ticket form.
What Happens After You Submit
- Management reviews your request. All cancellations require management approval before processing. Support handles this escalation on your behalf.
- Installment payments are stopped. If your order included recurring installment payments, these will be halted to prevent further charges.
- Your current order status is shared. Before finalizing, support will let you know where your order stands — for example, if a delayed unit is close to shipping. You are not required to change your decision; this is informational only.
- You confirm in writing. Support will ask you to confirm your decision to cancel by replying to the support thread. Once confirmed, the refund is submitted for processing.
Refund Timeline
You will receive a written confirmation when the refund has been initiated.
Important: Do Not File a Bank Dispute First
If you file a dispute with your bank or credit card issuer before Styku has processed your refund, it can significantly delay your refund. Once a bank dispute is open, Styku cannot issue a direct refund through its system — the bank's dispute resolution process typically takes 2–3 months. If you have already filed a dispute, contact your bank to withdraw it first, then notify Styku so the internal refund can proceed.
If You Are Open to Waiting
If you placed your order during a period of shipping delays and are willing to wait, let the support team know. In some cases, Styku may be able to:
- Provide an updated estimated shipping date
- Apply complimentary subscription months to your account as goodwill compensation
- Escalate your order for priority handling
These options are evaluated case by case. If you have decided to cancel, simply say so clearly in your message and support will proceed.
If Your Refund Has Not Arrived
If your refund has not appeared after the full estimated window:
- Contact your bank and ask whether there are any pending or recently posted credits from Styku.
- If your bank confirms no refund has been received, reply to your open support ticket and ask for a transaction ID and processing date from Styku's billing team.
- If you still do not receive a resolution, you have the right to file a formal dispute with your bank or card issuer. Keep your original order number and any written confirmation from Styku when you do.
If You Are Canceling Due to a Facility Issue
If your reason for canceling is that your facility does not meet Styku's space or lighting requirements, see Can I cancel my order if my facility doesn't meet Styku's space or lighting requirements? for details on those requirements and your options.
Note on Subscription Fees
This article covers hardware order cancellations. Subscription fee refunds follow a different policy — per Styku's Terms of Service, prepaid and unused subscription fees are generally non-refundable on early cancellation. See How do I cancel my Styku subscription? for subscription cancellation details.
If this resolves your issue, no further action is needed.
If the problem persists, contact support and include: your order number, your business name, the date your cancellation was confirmed in writing, and — if disputing a charge — the invoice or charge amounts and dates.
Applies to: All Styku configurations — hardware orders that have not yet been received. If you have already received your scanner and wish to cancel your subscription, see the subscription cancellation article.
