Can I use an iPad or Mac to view Styku scan results?
Styku Studio, the desktop software used to view and manage scan results, runs on Windows only. It cannot be installed on an iPad, iPhone, or any Mac device. If your staff want to review scan results away from the main scanner laptop, you have two options depending on the device available.
Option 1: Use the Styku Mobile App (Apple devices)
If staff or clients want to view scan results on an iPad or iPhone, the Styku mobile app is available on the Apple App Store. This app lets end-users view their 3D body scans, measurements, and progress on any iOS device. This is the best option for Apple hardware.
Keep in mind that the mobile app is designed for viewing personal scan results. It does not provide the full business management tools available in Styku Studio.
Clients can also use the Styku mobile app to create their account ahead of time before coming in for a scan. When they arrive, they can log in directly to their account using the QR code option in the Styku Studio software — the fastest and easiest way to log in and start scanning.
Option 2: Install Styku Studio on a Second Windows Device
If you need full access to Styku Studio's business features — such as reviewing all member profiles and scans — you can install the software on a second Windows computer or tablet. This requires a viewing-only license.
- Confirm that your second device meets the minimum hardware requirements for Styku Studio (Windows 11, Intel i5 or equivalent CPU, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, touchscreen recommended).
- Contact Styku support to request a viewing-only license key for the additional device.
- Download and install Styku Studio on the Windows device.
- Launch the software and enter your viewing license key when prompted to activate it.
A viewing-only license allows you to browse all scan data and member profiles but does not enable scanning functionality.
What you can do in Styku Studio on a viewing device
Once Styku Studio is active on a Windows viewing device, you can access the full range of scan review and sharing features, including:
- Rotating, panning, and zooming the 3D body scan — press and drag left or right to rotate, press and drag up or down to pan, and pinch with two fingers on the touch screen or touch pad to zoom in or out. If the model moves out of view, press the Reset button in the top right corner of the window to return it to its starting position.
- Creating and sharing scan reports — press the Share Results button at the bottom of the window after opening a scan profile. You can choose to Print, Email, or Save the report, and select which pages to include before sending.
- Customizing which report pages are sent — to configure which pages appear in Scan Reports or Progress Reports for all clients going forward, open View Profiles, enter your PIN, select Settings, then Reports and Sharing, and press Advanced to log in with your Styku administrator account. Inside Advanced settings you will find Progress Report Pages and Scan Report Pages, where you can add or remove pages from either report.
